Cut is a drama short movie by Italian writer and director Andrea Rusich about the daily life of an employment office in Rome during the financial crisis. At the time I was regularly playing with an instrumental ensemble called This Harmony and we were asked to compose intense and dramatic music to match the subject of the film.

“Il Mito della Caverna” is a self-initiated project in collaboration with Hello, Savants!, an extraordinary motion designer collective based in Amsterdam. A 2d animation inspired by Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave” and surrealism; both a quest for the truth and the acceptance of the illusion we live in. It was immediately selected as Staff Pick by Vimeo and has collected 50k views in 3 weeks.

This Harmony has been a music composition laboratory for the time of a decade. It released three studio albums plus an acoustic E.P. in collaboration with Italian string quartet Quartetto Ascanio. The quartet – violin, guitar, bass, drums – composed music for RAI programs and performed in England, France, Switzerland other than Italy.
